Server Hardware:

NASDA tailor builds servers to run the services you require. We have experience implementing high quality Intel Pentium 4 servers through to larger scale Intel Dual Xeon Servers.

When designing a server we take into consideration:

The type and speed of processors required to service the processes you want to run. Ranging from a single Pentium 4 CPU through to Dual Xeon CPU's.
The types of hard drives to implement and in what configuration. Ranging from a single SATA drive up to 10 SCSI320 drives in two hot swappable RAID arrays.
The type and amount of RAM needed to support the services you wish to provide.
The type of ethernet interfaces required. Ranging from a single 10/100Mb interface up to multiple Gigabit interfaces.
The type and size of backup tape drives required to backup the System state, Exchange servers, SQL databases and all User Data nightly.
The type of case required to house the server. Ranging from high quality ANTEC workgroup cases through to high end Intel Server Chassis'.

Desktop Hardware:

NASDA tailor builds desktop computers that are trouble free quality machines. We only install high quality parts in our desktop computers. Through years of experience we recognise quality parts as being cost effective in the long run. We use Intel CPU's and Intel motherboards with higher end chipset's, Kingston DDR400 RAM, Seagate Hard Disc Drives, LITE-ON CD/DVD drives and Panasonic Floppy Disc Drives. We always use ANTEC cases with quality power supplies.

Firewall's / VPN Hardware:

NASDA prefers to implement high quality CISCO equipment to handle Security and VPN services for our clients. We are certified to design and implement CISCO equipment into your network. Typically we implement CISCO PIX hardware with intrusion prevention and detection. CISCO PIX hardware has the capability of running 3DES encrypted VPN connections independently of your servers. Having independent hardware to service and protect your network provides higher reliability and higher service levels as it offers your servers the ability to function independently from external security and VPN requirements.

NASDA is also certified to implement Checkpoint VPN1/Firewall1. Checkpoints Firewall1 product can control external network access as well as controlling access on the internal network. 9 out of 10 network attacks are performed from the internal network. Checkpoint is highly effective in guarding against these attacks.

Wireless / Cabling:

NASDA can implement a wireless network for your company. Typically we implement wireless access points throughout your company to compliment your wired network. We use both CISCO Aironet and Linksys wireless hardware depending on your budget. We configure all wireless equipment to use 128Bit encryption and enable MAC protection to provide you with the best security that wireless provides.

NASDA can modify your wired network. We install both CISCO and Linksys Switches. We have years of experience configuring switches, laying cable in false ceilings, rewiring patch panels and desktop ports. In the case of wiring a building for the first time where drilling through walls etc is involved, we outsource a licensed electrician as required by law.
